The Moral Imagination

This is Kirk’s key essay on the moral imagination--the power to perceive ethical truths through story, myth, and tradition. Engaging the imagination via story allows parents and educators to reach the will via the heart rather than the head. Kirk thus presents an antidote to a culture that tends to form what Lewis called "Men Without Chests".
